This may well be the first game in the list that doesn't really need explanation. It's Pong. Two rectangles, a small square, that's it. Not the first video game ever, but the first widely popular one.

It would be easy to assume that they were joking when putting this in the 100 best Amiga games ever list, but it does have some good features. Each player can be controlled by mouse, joystick, paddle or keyboard, there are four game types, and you can even change the colours. Plus, being an Amiga, it's very smooth to play. Then again, there's nothing more that can be said.

There's something about the fact you can describe a game as "it's Pong", and that's the only description you really need. I did actually play Pong on some of the many old plug-and-play consoles from the 70s and 80s, and it really is still fun: there's nothing simpler, which makes it a great equaliser. So find a friend, and have fun.
