Surprisingly, this is not the first coin op-based horizontal shoot 'em up involving a dragon with a segmented tail to make the list.
Fight your way through five levels against many enemies in different environments, improve your firepower, tackle large bosses, and defend yourself with your long dragon's tail. The similarities to Dragon Breed are obvious, although you have rapid fire instead of a charge shot, and obviously you play as the dragon rather than a man riding on its back. Nevertheless it is also an accurate conversion of the original, and it is noted for the lack of loading times. This appears to be because it loads during the game, which can result in significant slowdown in WinUAE. Installing to a hard disk as a WHDLoad install seems to alleviate the problem somewhat.

The same old caveat applies here: with MAME available on everything, there may be little need to go back to this, but it's still a great port, and it does the seemingly impossible of having music and sound effects simultaneously (the Amiga has four sound channels, yet many developers seemingly didn't think that was enough). If you can use the WHDLoad version, then you'll have a better time - though this advice could apply to many games on this list.
