Super Cars II
1992: 93

It wasn't so long ago that we saw Super Cars in the list, and now we see the sequel, placed just one position lower in 1992 than its predecessor in 1991.

When it comes to the in-game graphics, not a lot has changed: you still have the same top-down racing mechanic, so anyone familiar with the first game will feel at home. There are some big changes away from the race, however: now, there are interactive segments where you have to talk to various people for various reasons. Early in the game, for example, the police will question you about your driving, and issue a fine if they're not satisfied with your responses. One change of note is the addition of a split-screen two-player feature, which the original sorely lacked.

Lots of updates to the game, so it goes without saying that if you like this kind of game, it's worth a try. I'm playing a lot of new games for this list, but this and the first game are two that I might keep on playing to see what they have to offer.
