Zool 2

The ninja from the Nth dimension returns with a friend, although this is the first encounter in our list.
You now have a choice of either Zool or his female pal Zooz, the difference being that one can destroy certain ceilings while the other can destroy certain floors. One difference from the first game is that your have to collect 99% of available tokens in the level before you can leave: in the first game, you could collect between 25% and 75% depending on the skill level. This need to pick up almost everything does make the game a bit more difficult, but other than that, the game is fundamentally not much of a change from the first one.

While the sequel does improve on the first one in several ways - for one, the levels have been designed much more creatively - it doesn't differentiate enough to make it essential playing. Given that the first game was another in a sea of similar platformers, that makes the second game just as easy to miss. One for fans of the genre, I'd say.
