Mascot platformers were a common sight on consoles of the time, but it's still somewhat surprising to see this one make the leap to the Amiga.
Known on the PC Engine console as PC-Genjin (get it?) and Bonk's Adventure, B.C. Kid is a little boy with an enormous head and sharp teeth. Jumping through levels, you can headbutt the prehistoric creatures in your path, or bounce on them with your head. Collecting big hunks of meat will give you different powers, such as invulnerability. The developers of this port did an excellent job of maintaining the fast action of the console original, so its place in the list is not so surprising.

I don't need to play this for long to know that it's a very polished port and a fun platformer, but the real question is whether it's worth playing nowadays. It's no better than the PC Engine original, and that's much easier to play in emulated form. Still, it's another good example of the Amiga doing things right - and hey, it even manages sound effects and music simultaneously, which should always be applauded.
