It may look and sound like Bomber Man (or Dyna Blaster for that matter), but there's more to this than meets the eye.
There is a marked difference between the single- and multi-player variants of Bug Bomber: when one player is involved, the task is simply to eliminate the enemies that appear to move on to the next level. You have more than just bombs at your disposal, with mines and homing missiles coming in handy, too. You can also lay various eggs, which hatch into robots that can do your bidding. There are no instant deaths either, as you have an energy meter which can be restocked by collecting icons. The multi-player mode sees you either competing against up to three friends, using all the tools at your disposal, or teaming up against the computer.

Another game which I couldn't figure out at first, but it soon started to make sense. The wealth of offensive options you have can be daunting (Dyna Blaster/Bomber Man only has bombs to worry about) which could turn playerrs off, but I feel this is a title you might be able to grow into. I haven't had a chance to sample the multi-player mode, but I'm sure it's quite interesting.
