Here's a weird anomaly: both Rick Dangerous and its sequel appear in the 1991 list, something which wouldn't happen in subsequent lists. Instead, the team would pick the best game from the series and include that instead, leaving space for other games. Still, Rick Dangerous 2 is one of the highest-placed games from the 1991 list that didn't appear in subsequent years, so does this mean it aged poorly?

Much of what I wrote about the first Rick Dangerous applies here, only this time Rick fires lasers instead of bullets, and has the ability to slide bombs along the ground, instead of planting dynamite as before. This does affect some of the situations you have to deal with, but the game engine is the same, so it plays extremely similarly.

It is strange to see both this and its predecessor in the same list, because there isn't a lot to choose between them. If you like that, you'll like this. Simple as that.
