It may involve turning left forever, but this racing game got a lot of attention at the time.
Take part in the Indy 500 in a full 3D polygonal environment. After booting the game, you can immediately head into practice and have a drive around the track (and there is only one track, naturally) to get a feel for the car. You can do some tuning to get the steering and acceleration just how you like it, then go for qualification, and then the race. You can just start racing without qualifying, but it will put you at the back of the grid. The graphics, while impressive for the time, are unbearably sluggish nowadays on a stock A500, but thankfully playing on a faster Amiga gives a more pleasurable experience.

I was happy that I could simply jump in and try it out without poring over the manual, but it quickly became clear that if I really wanted to win, I would have to do some experimentation with the car's different options. Still, it's a nice image into what once was, but modern players will find it far too choppy to enjoy, I imagine.
