When a game begins with the letters 'Puzz', you know you've got a puzzle game on your hands.

The concept is straightforward: you have to move around blocks with different designs, and as they obey gravity you have to take account of it. When two or more of the same block touch, they disappear. The trick is to move the right blocks in the right order to clear all of them and move onto the next level.

One interesting point about this game is that the arcade original - in Japan at least - shows you topless women after each level, whereas this port (unfortunately?) does not. Still, you don't need the promise of a half-naked lady to enjoy Puzznic, as it's simple yet effective puzzle fun. As usual with puzzle games of the time, you can still enjoy it today as most of them are quite unique, including this one.
