What is it about puzzle games and matching things that look the same?
The method of play isn't immediately obvious with this one, but you'll soon get the hang of it. You start with a pile of blocks with different patterns, and your character is holding another block. Your aim is to remove a certain amount of blocks from the pile, and this is done by matching your block with one on the pile. When you throw your block at the pile, it eliminates any matching blocks in its path, and in return you receive the next different block with which to make your next throw. You have to be careful that you don't end up in a situation where you can't hit any matching blocks, and there is a time limit, though it's somewhat generous.

As usual, puzzle games are often just as good to play today as they were in their day, as graphics don't really matter as much as an interesting concept, so Plotting could well be worth a look. Of course, it's an arcade port, and the Amiga port looks pretty much the same as the original. I'm not a huge puzzle game fan, but give it a try if you are.
