This would probably have scored more highly were it not for its replacement by Lemmings 2, but although the game came out on practically every platform around, the Amiga was the original and, arguably, the best.
If you weren't gaming in the early 90s, you probably won't realise how ubiquitous Lemmings was at the time: there wasn't a single gaming platform that didn't have a port, and it was widely loved and praised. Put simply, you have a number of small rodents to whom you can assign different skills (climbing, building, digging etc) and the aim is to get a certain amount of them to the goal, alive. In some cases you have no choice but to blow some of them up to achieve this. There are many levels of fun to keep you interested, and it's just as enjoyable today as it was then.

Of course I played Lemmings back then - you had no excuse, it was mandatory. I did enjoy it, and I still do, though given the ludicrous amount of ports, you probably don't need to play it on the Amiga. It's probably one of the more playable versions, though, and if you've never tried it yourself, you really can't call yourself a gamer until you do.
