Switchblade did alright in the first Amiga Power Top 100 list, but once the sequel came along, there was no comparison.
Unlike the first game, Switchblade II sees you take on a more mature-looking character, armed with a laser sword and a gun. You can jump at two different heights, but beyond that there isn't much more to know. The control, however, is where the game excels: your character is quick and smooth, the graphics are detailed, there are lots of locations to explore (and multiple levels, unlike the first game), not to mention a shop to buy enhancements like spin blades and a better gun.

Some may disagree, but in my opinion, Switchblade II improves on its predecessor in almost every way, and is still a good game to play today. It may have occupied the lower ranks of the Top 100 lists for most of its time, but it certainly deserved to be there.
