It may have started out as a free public domain project, but this upgraded version was very highly rated by both Amiga Power and fans.
In addition to the usual choice of grass, hard or clay courts, there are sixteen different characters with different abilities to play with and against. You can use one- or two-button controllers, as well as CD32 ones, with more buttons giving you more control over your shots. Combined with the ability to have four players at once, the game is great fun when played with others.

It looks like Super Tennis on the SNES, and it certainly has a nice variety of players to choose from, but unfortunately the one-player game suffers a similar problem to Great Courts 2/Pro Tennis Tour 2, in that it's far too difficult when you start out. I mentioned Pete Sampras Tennis last time, and the weaker CPU opponents in that game have very slow reactions, and don't go for extreme shots, allowing you to get used to the game and win some matches. Super Tennis Champs feels more like going up against Sampras himself right away. Like a few games in this list, you'll probably need a friend to play against to enjoy this.
