Who needs a PC when you can do this on an Amiga? That was probably the thinking of many upon seeing Zeewolf, and 15th spot in the 1995 list is nothing to sniff at. Time for some 3D chopper action.
Rather than a first-person flight simulator or a top-down sprite based affair, Zeewolf gives you a Virus-style viewpoint of a 3D landscape, and you have a helicopter to fly around, completing missions like blowing things up and rescuing people. You have a few different weapons, as usual, but the most notable aspect is the controls: using a joystick is pretty straightforward, but the mouse will give you the most comprehensive control, although it's extremely tough to master.

I enjoyed this, but being a later release in the Amiga library, and being in 3D, an Amiga 1200 or better is highly recommended, as the frame rate increases a great deal. Not an issue if you're emulating, of course, and I do recommend giving this a go if you liked Desert Strike but wanted something more three-dimensional, and with shorter missions.
