Desert Strike will turn up in this list eventually, but before we get there, we can enjoy a similar game from a top-down perspective.
Take to the skies in a helicopter with a bird's-eye view of the action, as you shoot infantry, buildings, ground-based rocket launchers, and other helicopters as well. You have a selection of weapons ranging from machine guns to homing missiles - both air-to-ground and air-to-air - and the control system is very simple, being an arcade-style game. Your missions are rarely very complicated (mostly just 'destroy everything') and the game could benefit from extra controls since your helicopter cannot strafe, making avoiding enemy fire rather difficult at times.

It's too easy to make the comparison to Desert Strike, but really, that game is more complex than this one: you often have to collect people and objects in that game, whereas here it's just "kill 'em all" (to borrow another Metallica song). There are a couple of rescue missions, but not many, and I really wish you could strafe, as your only viable option is to keep your distance and hope to pick your enemies off from afar. Still, it's a fun little blast-'em'up, but I wouldn't take it too seriously.
