Like Zeewolf, but on the Mega Drive, and thus much more famous, it's Desert Strike.

Take to the skies in an attack helicopter from an isometric perspective, heading into a fictional Middle East country with a fictional tyrant to defeat. Blow up installations, rescue POWs, take out enemies, all while keeping a close eye on both your fuel and your armour.

Finally, after other less celebrated helicopter games, we reach Desert Strike in the lofty position of 56, having cracked the top 20 in the 1994 list. Is it all that good? Well, this port of the Mega Drive/Genesis original is certainly on par, if not slightly better, and if you like that then you're on to a winner. Personally, I think it's fine, if a little overrated. Of course, the Mega Drive also saw a couple of sequels to this, which we won't be exploring in our list, but the original will do just fine.
