There's some slight confusion over this one, as the 1995 list supposedly includes the AGA (floppy disk) version, whereas the 1996 list explicitly references the CD32 (compact disc) version, but the latter does mention it as a re-entry, so we can combine their scores for the purposes of my list. Presumably the CD32 was a better way to play the car-based mayhem in this one.
It's a top-down racer, with the main distinguishing features being the emphasis on car-on-car violence, and the fast and smooth action and graphics. A neat touch that is seldom seen in similar games is a practice lap, driven without other cars, just to familiarise you with the layout of each track. It does help, and knowing the location of 'kill zones' is very useful when you start the race proper.

I do enjoy a racing game, regardless of the style, and top-down racers don't come much smoother than this. The addition of weapons makes things quite interesting and tactical, too. The Amiga does have a good few games like this, though, but I'd recommend giving it a try.
