Wow, 3rd place for the last two years of Amiga Power? That puts it very high in this list, though if it had been a bit older then it could've been even higher. What makes it such a winner?
Playing like a three-dimensional version of Defender, your task is to rid the planet's surface of Dronoids, by shooting them in your flying craft before they destroy all planetary installations. Alien ships will try to stop you from doing this, so you have to stay alert. Although it was released in floppy disk form for AGA machines, Amiga Power highlighted the CD32 version as the one to play, as the multi-button controller makes playing much easier, not to mention the CD audio and lack of loading.

I'm a little surprised that they put it so high: sure, it's fast and smooth 3D action on an Amiga, which is great, but if this was one of the CD32's killer apps at the moment the Playstation was about to hit the scene, you can see why it didn't set the world on fire. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun game, though I wonder about the lastability, as it's pretty much the same game endlessly.
