Remember Anarchy, much further up this list? Well, that was inspired by Defender, whereas this is a very accurate port of the arcade classic itself.

If you've ever played Defender, you'll know what to expect: shoot the aliens before they can abduct the people on the ground. This version appears to use samples from the coin op itself, so it seems pretty authentic, even if it does feel a bit different to control compared to the real deal.

I mentioned with Anarchy that I was never a big fan of Defender, and it'll take a bit more of playing versions like this one to change my mind, I think. Still, it's a faithful-looking port, but since the original is so easy to play nowadays, you might give this a pass.
