Flight sim? Check. Helicopters? Check. Relatively fast 3D graphics, even on an Amiga 500? Check. We've seen it before, but Gunship 2000 scored far higher than its rivals.

The game sees you take control of a range of helicopters, including the long-popular AH-64 Apache, and the futuristic AH-66A Comanche, which at the time of the game's release had not been completed. In fact, production of it was eventually cancelled in 2004, after $7 billion had been sunk into its development. Anyway, the game gives you plenty of missions around the world to tackle, and its 3D graphics work fine, though there is both an AGA and CD32 version available to make it even smoother.

So many flight sims in this list, and I've ploughed through the manual of more than enough, so no, I haven't given this game a fair shake. Looks fine, though.
