Arguably, SWOS can be considered the ultimate Amiga Power game since it came in first in the final list, thus representing the team's last choice on the matter. Nevertheless, it can only reach number 33 in my list, due mainly to it being such a late release, but also due to its poor performance upon initial release in the 1995 list.
The original Sensible Soccer turned the Amiga football game world upside down, with its fast movement, clean passing, intuitive aftertouch, and small players giving you a wider view of the pitch than most other games. SWOS took that core gameplay and added the most comprehensive list of teams and players ever - even today, the list of teams is quite astonishing. Not only that, but the game allows you to manage your team, buying and selling players, taking jobs for other teams, or even coaching the national team. You can do this as a player or simply as a coach, and let the computer do the playing. Add in the ability to make your own leagues, tournaments, cups, even teams, and it's no surprise that Amiga Power rated it the best Amiga game of all time in 1996.

I have nothing to say. SWOS is still the best football game ever made. I chose the 96/97 final version in the TOSEC selection below, but any version is still going to be amazing. That's all.
