I've already dealt with the confusion over this game and its predecessor, suffice it to say that combining the two games in one entry probably helped boost this up the ranking a bit. Nevertheless, its quality can't be questioned.

As the subtitle suggests, the ghost pirate LeChuck, while being vanquished at the end of the first Monkey Island game, isn't quite done with our hero, now sporting a goatee and a ponytail. Due to an unfortunate series of events, LeChuck is reanimated, and seeks vengeance on Guybrush Threepwood, so it's up to you to find a way to escape LeChuck forever. The game improves on its predecessor in several ways: the graphics have greater detail, since they were designed for VGA PC graphics from the beginning, rather than EGA; and the game involves a wider array of locations and characters. It's debatable which game is the better of the two, however, and the Amiga Power team decided they couldn't choose in the end.

What can you say about this? If you liked Monkey Island, then obviously you'll like this. Being such a huge fan of the first, I was obviously floored by this back in the day, and like the first game, it's still a great one to play today. You might as well find a different way to play it than the Amiga, however.
