Corporate partnerships in video games don't always produce stellar results, but Codemasters did a good job in adapting these popular little cars to the gaming world.
The novelty of Micro Machines is that you're driving cars which have a similar size to their real-life toy counterparts, and thus you drive around breakfast tables, garages, pool tables, school desks and many other everyday locations. Beyond that gimmick, however, there is still a very playable game: you can either challenge the computer in a series of four-car races, or face off head-to-head in an elimination battle, where whoever gets far enough ahead to knock their opponent off the screen takes the point.

I played the NES version of this extensively, and have tried my hand at the Sega Mega Drive version, and although the Amiga is clearly capable of doing this game very well, it just seems to lack a bit of the bounce and life of the other versions. The gameplay is still solid, it just seems to be lacking something for me. Still fun to play today, though, especially with another person.
